That Grisly Cartoon Movie Conclusion That Haunts Viewers

Out of all the mature animated films I’ve ever viewed, no other has remained with me quite like the fear-filled finale of the viscerally violent as well as deeply subversive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, this Spain-based filmmaker developed a grim, bleak and often savage world that included a few small , desolate twinges of hope.

Although The Unicorn Wars seems like it came from an impulse to push animation even more, the filmmaker clarified that it was more an effort to convey a widespread, multicultural theme about “the mutual source of each battle.”

This theme is communicated by means of a band of colorful pastel bears , obviously based on a famous series of cuddly characters.

Being raised in a community focused on militarism and the military-industrial complex, a lot of these animals are consumed by killing unicorns, thanks to a religious scripture that claims the bears they were once rulers of the woodland, until the horned beings forced them out.

Some have not completely fallen for the indoctrination, , would rather sample drugs or fornicate in the forest.

In contrast to their friendly equivalents, these colorful critters have visible genitals and clear urges.

For a certain particularly cruel, skeptical animal, the character Bluey, the conflict with unicorns turns into a road to control — and particularly to dominance above his softer, more compassionate sibling the bear Tubby.

This bear acts as a tormentor and a seeming psychopath , and while horror dominates his squad and takes his comrades one by one, he grabs increasingly influence on his own behalf, through ever more gory, harmful methods.

At the same time, the unicorns are suffering their own horror, through a growing, destructive monster in their forest.

“In the early stages, it seems like a comedy,” the filmmaker said. “Yet it turns into a more intense and melancholic movie. And ultimately, it becomes a scary feature.”

Unicorn Wars commences similar to one of the more playful films from a renowned filmmaker, that uncover a wicked pleasure in allowing drawn beings swear, engage in violence, or have intimate relations.

Subsequently it becomes closer to a more grim film from that director, with increasingly explicit brutality and a tangible relation to genuine horror of war.

Ultimately, it’s a full-on theatrical horror carnage.

The horror which makes this a perfect Halloween watch starts well before than that description suggests.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the devoted fans of gore, for fans of intense movies who want to view something they have not watched previously, and are able to withstand a story that offers no restraint.

View it in a dimly lit space free from interruptions, and the conclusion will crawl deep within you and take up residence there.
